"North Country Road!"

I have done several paintings of winter roads, usually depicting a scene after a recent snowfall. The occasion that prompted this one was a drive up north on a sunny winter day. We hadn’t had a snowfall for sometime. The trees were bare but there was plenty of the white stuff still on the ground. Of course up there it remained nice and white, not all sooty and contaminated.
