"Quiet Cove" Some days are just so bright that if you are walking into the sun it’s blinding even with sun glasses. I tried to capture that in this watercolor painting. That’s not so easy you know. We only have the whiteness of the paper to represent brightness. In order to add a little interest I included the old, decaying, abandoned boat, to add life, the seagulls, ever present on our northern beaches. I have struggled with a title. After doing several versions, including one in oil paint, a patron chose her own title, “Quiet Cove”. I decided that was as good as anything I had come up with so… |
